Singapore street art and my first roll of FILM!
Okay I’m ridiculously excited to share this post because I’ve been wanting a film camera for so long that I can’t believe I have my first roll developed! Well, actually, it’s the second roll. The very first one was a fail, as I was using a very, very old camera that is fully manual and I inserted the film wrongly and it came out all blank.
Let’s pretend that didn’t happen 🙂
So my mum and dad very kindly sent me a package all the way from Spain with serrano ham, manchego cheese and other Spanish delicacies, and they also included a point and shoot film camera from my uncle that he didn’t use anymore. I had already ordered some film so I was all ready to go. Except for the camera needed a bit of cleaning in the battery department and it took a bit longer than I thought to make it work. But it happened, and I’m over the moon with how the pictures turned out.
I met my friend Reshan for brunch on a Sunday, and took the camera with me. I asked him if he was up for a photoshoot and finish the roll and like the mood booster that he is of course he said YES. So we went around Bugis, taking pictures of everything and anything that caught our attention. We had so much fun and both of us are now film converts!
I also wanted to share that I’ve started a new Instagram account for my photography @capturesbyelisa. I just wanted a place where I could share my favorite captures outside of what Tropikelle is. That doesn’t mean I won’t share photos on sustainable fashion or beauty, but those would most likely will be found on the @tropikelle Instagram account.
So fun, I can’t get over how good film looks!
Wearing a silk dress by COS and a lace bra by Intimissimi. On my feet my Birkenstocks, of course 😉
Let me know if you like the pictures and if you are into film! And if you are in Singapore and you don’t know where to get your film sorted or if you are looking for a film camera, FILEM covers all you will need, except printing (for now anyways) 🙂
Besitos
