Langkawi is an amazing weekend-getaway destination if you live in Singapore. It is just one hour away by plane and all low-cost airlines have flights landing there everyday.
We went to Langkawi for a long weekend and although there is not much to see really, it is a great place to just lay on the beach, watch beautiful sunsets, eat amazing Malay food and RELAX!
We booked a resort hotel called “Casa del Mar”, and I secretly chose it because it had a Spanish name… 🙂 It means “Home of the Sea” which sounded like my kind of place. And the pictures looked great. I chose a villa with beach access and the result could not be better. Just what I expected! The hotel’s staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. One of the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen. They also have some tables set up at the beach where you can have something to eat whenever you fancy, or you can also go to the surrounding bars and restaurants, where the atmosphere is quite nice, full of young people and good music. Did I mention the great food? It is everywhere!
Of course the hotel has all kinds of activities that you can do. There are also guys on the beach that rent jet-skis and there are snorkeling trips you can sign up to.
During those days I was playing with the set up of my Olympus-Pen EPL7 and some of the effects are so fun! I wanted to share the result with you. I hope you like them!
