Working on a corporate job full time and loving to sleep long hours don’t go well together. I like to sleep in as much as possible and I keep delaying my alarms. Alarms, in plural, cause I have a couple on my phone….
During week days I’m usually running in the morning. I do my makeup quickly and get dressed. After that, the time I have left for breakfast is usually 5 minutes. I have some staple go-to quick and healthy breakfast recipes, but this smoothie is hands down my favorite one. I make it almost everyday. It is very versatile as you can add different fruits depending on your taste. But the best part is that you have a complete healthy meal ready to drink in literally 2 minutes. That simple.
The ingredients that contain this quick, healthy breakfast option will give you all the nutrients you need for a great start of the day. Bananas have plenty of energy and will add the sweet taste to the smoothie. The nourishing protein is plant based and organic. It will boost your metabolism and provide the necessary protein to start the day. The scoop of nut butter will provide you with some of the needed healthy fats. You will feel energized and ready roll. And if you had enough sleep the night before you won’t feel like you need that coffee!
Ingredients: 1 cup almond milk; 1 scoop Welleco chocolate Nourishing Protein; 1 ripe banana; 2 hands full of rolled oats; 1 tbsp of nut butter, I use almond or peanut butter (optional)
Blend all the ingredients together in a high speed blender and serve. Drink quickly as oats will expand and the mixture will get thicker. Alternatively, you can serve on a bowl and add some granola for a crunchy twist. Yuuuummmmmm!
