Shoot day for Baliza's Amalfi new sustainable resort collection

I’m super excited to share these pics that I took with my iPhone (!) during the shooting that Zerrin Studio did for Baliza, featuring their new collection which is absolutely beautiful!

And you’d be wondering what was I doing there, and that would be a very fair question! If this is the first time you hear about it, go check the blogpost I wrote featuring my Baliza kaftan to learn more about this amazing brand and the work they do in India with the organization Ladli Jaipur. It’s truly an example of a slow fashion brand that really wants to make a positive social impact as well as be kind to the environment.

Baliza is one of my favourite brands. It turns out that he founder, Gema, is from Spain, and we’ve developed a nice relationship over the years. I love helping her out wherever I can, because I truly believe in her project and, not gonna lie, I love being surrounded by fashion!

So when Gema asked me if I could help out with the styling in her shooting and do an Instagram takeover I said YES! I didn’t want all that work to just stay on my phone, so here are some of the pictures I took, so that you can also see how beautiful the collection is.

I’m super thankful to Gema and Zerrin Studio for trusting me on this. I had so much fun and hope we can do it again soon!

The Crew for the Baliza Shoot

We had two amazing models on the day, Brie Benfell and Tanika Anderson. These two girl bosses are not only amazing models but they also run their own businesses and are super inspiring.

Brie just launched The Slice of Brie where she talks about her favourite places to see in Singapore, where to eat, etc. She is also super invested on Brie Fit, a platform where she reviews all the workout places in Singapore and gives her honest opinion. I know she is developing this platform further cause I stalk her on Instagram and I can’t wait to see what’s coming!

Tanika is a beautiful soul that is the owner of the sustainable fashion label You & Mei. She also the creative mind behind a few other platforms. Check out Tanika’s instagram to see all what she’s up to, it’s hard to keep up cause this gal is busy!

The shooting was done by Zerrin Studio, with the superstar Susannah Jaffer as captain. The beautiful makeup was the work of the talented Lauren Nicole from which I got a few makeup tips, like the Becca highlighter in Opal or the Tom Ford foundation that is still on my wish list.

The Mikonos Dress in the Jaipur Tiles Print

I love the colour of this dress and how amazing it looks on Tanika. The print, inspired in Jaipur tiles is also so special. I think these are my favourite pictures of the shooting!

Sunglasses are my own from a few years ago, handmade from Anne et Valentin. Shoes are Victoria shoes, a Spanish brand that has been part of my childhood with their iconic sneakers since as long as I can remember. This white pair has a bit of platform and it’s my favourite pair of the entire shooting.

The Tie Dye Shell Dress

I wasn’t a fan of tie dye until I saw this dress on Brie. It looks so beautiful on her!

The Ring Top and Havana Pants on the Daisy Print

I love this top and pants combo and I actually own it myself. I love the pink detail and blue and white print looks amazing on every skin tone. Shoes are from Victoria. This combo is also available in the Jaipur tiles print.

The Butterfly Top

How pretty is this print? I love the shoulder detail on this top and the navy blue tassels with matching earrings!

The LA Dress

I love how girly this dress is. The pink tassel belt adds a beautiful pop of colour to the look. You don’t really need anything else!

The beautiful shoes are from Zerrin, the label is called Munimuni and they are consciously made in the Philippines.

The Jaipur Kaftan Dress in Pink and Blue Tie Dye

These tie dye color combination is so beautiful and looks amazing on all skin tones. Also, kaftans are the most comfy and roomy dresses out there, perfect for a summer holiday in comfort and style.
